TunisiaTourismTV - The site of Takrouna is particularly dramatic: a steep peek standing in the middle of a vast plain, and at the top a beautiful little Berber village.
Located between Hammamet and Sousse, the village, still inhabited, has kept its ancient houses and an impressive zaouia – Sufi shrine – dedicated to Sidi Abdelkader.
The ascent is steep but is worth the effort: the panoramic view is breathtaking!
Two other old hilltop villages can be found in the surroundings: Zriba and Jradou.
